Feb 28, 2007 (newstodate): The Swedish cvargo GSA Air Trade Support is upbeat about prospects for its new customer, Jade Cargo International that will start twice-weekly freighter operations at Stockholm Arlanda from next week.
-Of course, the competition is very strong in the market for ex-Sweden frieghter services to China and Asia, with no less than four new operators at Stockholm Arlanda within only a few months, says Soren Eng, ATS CEO.
-We are, however, confident that Jade wil prove a success in our markets that comprise Sweden and Norway. Besides Swedish exports to China we expect Norway to contribute significantly as well with shipments of fresh salmon, electronics and, not least, ships spares.
-The crucial issue will of course be to seek business that generates yields high enough to sustain a sound business. It will be an act of balance, but I have no doubts that we will success, says Mr Eng.
Jade Cargo will operate from Shenzhen to Leipzig, calling at Stockholm Arlanda on the return leg, and Mr Eng expects the flights to carry Sweden-bound import shipments as well.
