Feb 2, 2007 (newstodate): The Russian airport of Tolmachevo, near Novosibirsk, will actively promote its cargo business potentials in 2007.
Among the new assets to be presented to new potential international airlines are the opening of the first phase of the airport's new cargo terminal, new road feeder services, and an expanded cargo area at the airport.
In 2006 the airport generated a total of 16,509 tonnes of cargo and mail, up four percent y-o-y.
Domestic exports were down 4.4 percent to 5,140 tonnes, while international exports grew by 20.4 percent to 410 tonnes.
Domestic imports rose 2.6 percent to 9,189 tonnes, while internatoinal imports were down 15.4 percent to 1,770 tonnes.
