Feb 7, 2007 (newstodate): Boeing has landed an order from Azerbaijan for five aircraft.
Comprised by the deal are deliveries of two Boeing 737-900 and three Boeing 787 aircraft.
The US Eximbank and Azeri government officials have signed the order that has a avlur of around 400 mio USD.
The carrier AZAL Azerbaijani Airlines already operates a fleet comprising six Boeing 757-200, three Airbus A319 and one A320 aircraft.
With this order AZAL becomes the first operator in the Russian/CIS region to operate both the new Boeing 737-900 and the Dreamliner.
