Dec 4, 2007 (newstodate): Volga-Dnepr is continuing its strong performance in 2007 with record sales and volumes.
Volga-Dnepr Airlines outsize and
heavyweight charter business increased
sales during the January-September period to USD491 million, exceeding its performance for the same period in 2006 by USD183 million.
In the first nine months of the year, Volga-
Dnepr Airlines transported 33,207 tonnes of
cargo on its AN-124-100 freighter fleet, an increase of 4,823 tonnes over the same
period a year ago.
During the period, AN-124 aircraft represented 78.3 percent of the Groups total charter operations, while Volga-Dnepr Airlines new generation IL-76TD-90VD freighter represented 2.8 percent.
In January-September 2007, Volga-Dnepr Airlines transported a total of 24,780 tonnes of cargo using IL-76TD aircraft, a growth of 2,788 tonnes over the corresponding figures of 2006.
During the period, AirBridgeCargo Airlines further enhanced its position in the domestic and international scheduled cargo market.
Its sales exceeded 2006 figures by 31 percent with revenues of more than USD204 million.
AirBridgeCargos cargo volumes on its Boeing 747F fleet grew by 29 percent to a total of 70,494 tonnes.
