Dec 21, 2007 (newstodate): ExecuJet Aviation Group sees a market in Russia for 20-30 Aerion Supersonic Business Jet aircraft.
The aircraft with a price tag of about USD80 mio, will target the hi-level and VIP segments of business travel, offering speeds up to Mach 1.15 overland without producing a supersonic boom on the ground, and at speeds up to 1.6 Mach in other areas, and ranges up to 8,100 km.
The aircraft may be ready for entry into service by 2014.
Not surprisingly, the first customer to sign up for the Aerion jet at this year's Dubai Airshow was Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Noaimi, Head of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department.
