UTAir plans to withdraw its current fleet of TU-154 aircraft before 2015, and the vision is to convert up to 10 TU-154 into freighters to be placed in its fully-owned cargo subsidiary Tuymenspetsavia.
Based at Khanty-Mansiysk, UTAir is, together with Aeroflot, Transaero, and S7 Siberian Airlines in the first echelon among Russia's currently 18 leading airlines that account for 88 percent of the country's air traffic.
