Dec 11, 2007 (newstodate): Global logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel is reorganising its European organistion in order to put further focus on Eastern Europe.
To maximise on the business potential in the local markets and create synergies, Kuehne + Nagel is merging its currently two regional organisations, Northeast Europe and Southeast Europe, into one.
The new Eastern Europe Region will comprise 19 countries: Albania,Austria, Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia,Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.
The new East European Region will comprise 75 locations, more than 600,000 sqm of warehouse space and a staff of approximately 4,500.
Regional HQ, headed by Bob Mihok, will be in Vienna.
