Dec 12, 2007 (newstodate): Effective from December 2007, East Line Technique Co. Ltd., an EAST LINE Group member company, offers Russian and CIS airlines a wheel and brake repair and maintenance service for foreign-made aircraft.
The new wheel and brake repair and maintenance shop is the only independent provider of this type of services in the Russian Federation and the CIS.
-At the moment, the overwhelming majority of RF and CIS airlines do not have their own wheel and brake repair and maintenance facilities and are therefore forced to use the services of foreign companies. This is associated with a number of difficulties and rather significant costs, says Daria Korshunova, Moscow Domodedovo International Airport Director Public Relations.
-The aircraft wheel and brake repair and maintenance shop at Domodedovo airport will provide RF and CIS airlines with a convenient and economically effective access to this type of services.
The shop was certified by the European Airworthiness Authorities in November 2007 and now offers service on Boeing 747 and Boeing 757 aircraft.
From early 2008 the shop will be certified to service Boeing 737, Boeing 767, as well as Airbus A310 and Airbus A319/320/321 type aircraft.
The launch of the foreign-made aircraft wheel and brakes service shop is just one phase in the development of heavy technical maintenance business.
It is planned that the East Line Technique aviation-technical base will be ready for C-check by September 2008.
