Dec 19, 2007 (newstodate): After a major renovation, Estonia's Kihnu Airport, at Kihnu Island in the Baltic Sea, has been reopened.
The modernisation project comprised surfacing of the original grass runway and construction of an airport building.
The airport is used by smaller aircraft, and has no navaids or ILS system.
