Dec 5, 2007 (newstodate): Denmark's export airfreight volumes on IATA carriers increased 17.5 percent during the first 10 months of this year, to 64,982 tonnes.
According to the latest CASS statistics, Denmark's export traffic to its single most important airfreight market, North America was up 16.1 percent during the period.
Export airfreight destined for Korea increased no less than 62.9 percent, and volumes for China were up 38.2 percent.
European airfreight increased by 25.9 percent, while volumes destined for Japan were down nine percent.
In the highly competitive market average cargo rates dropped 9.1 percent, y-o-y, including a fall in rates to North America by seven percent, while rates to Japan and China were down 13.1 and 17.6, respectively.
