Dec 20, 2007 (newstodate): Armenia's Zvartnots Airport will need a new passenger terminal, to be put into operation by 2011-12 already.
The airport's passenger volumes have grown by 50 percent over only three years, to 1.5 mio in 2007.
Since December 17, 2001, Zvartnots Airport has been managed under a contract with Armenian International Airports, owned by Eduardo Eurnekian, Argentina, and a request for building a new terminal has now been forwarded to the Armenian government.
