Nov 14, 2007 (newstodate): The Ukrainean carrier AeroSvit is planning for a fleet of new regional aircraft.
The carrier is currently in talks with five regional aircraft manufacturers including Aviant, ATR, Bombardier, Embraer and SAAB Aircraft.
Aerosvit will shortlist two of these providers before the end of the year to make a final decision on its future regional aircraft fleet, with deliveries slated to start from 2008-2009 already.
Over the next four to five years it will acquire 15 regional aircraft to be used by the combined fleets of Aerosvit and Donbassaero.
Together the two companies, integrated since the start of 2007 under the name Ukrainean Air Group, operate 16 Boeing 737 and Boeing 767, two Airbus A320, nine Yak-42 and three An-24 aircraft.
