Nov 22, 2007 (newstodate): Taking effect from March 30, 2008, a new treaty between UK and Singapore will remove all restrictions on air services.
The treaty, signed on November 21, 2007, will provide full aviation access, including flights to any destination beyond the two signatories' airspace.
From February, Singapore Airlines will introduce its Airbus A380 on the route to London, and with the launch of the EU-US Stage 1 Open Skies agreement, also taking effect from March 30, 2008, the carrier will benefit immediately from the increased capacity offered by the Airbus aircraft.
