Nov 23, 2007 (newstodate): The Russian airport Kazan International Airport, in Taterstan, has been certified to handle Boeing 767 aircraft.
With the certificates for Boeing 767-200 and -300, the airport can handle aircraft used on the route between Kazan and Bangkok.
In September this year, Tatarstan opened a public tender for management consultancy and reconstruction of Kazan International Airport, with a winning bid expected to be announced in Spring, 2008.
The reconstruction project is estimated to carry a price tag of USD40-50 million for the airport to meet fully international standards.
