Airport will command more horse-power than usually on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A DC-8 freighter from Air Transport International will fly in with 50 racing horses on Tuesday, and return on Wednesday, November 14, to load 30 of them for the trip back after a horse racing event.
The ad-hoc operations come on top of the scheduled Icelandair Cargo Boeing 757 freighter flight on Wednesday, bringing in Icelandic horses to the Scandinavian market as well as general cargo, before returning with Swedish airfreight destined for the US market.
