Nov 5, 2007 (newstodate): Sweden has been approved as a participant in IATA's pilot project for a paper-free cargo environment.
-In this first phase only the freighter route from Sweden to Hong Kong has been selected, but more trade lanes from Sweden may be added as the project moves ahead, says Ulla Nilson, IATA Cargo Service Manager - CASS Nordic & Baltic.
-It has not yet been decided if routes from Sweden to other countries and/or more destinations will be added in Phase 2. But this is a significant step that will benefit the entire air cargo indutry, says Mrs Nilson.
