Nov 29, 2007 (newstodate): The Russian carrier UTAir has opened a tender for a complete aircraft fleet modernisation.
The carrier wants to replace its current fleet of 34 TU-134 aircraft and plans to acquire "more than" 30 new aircraft before 2014.
UTAir is now to considering a range of alternatives including the Russian Superjet 100, Tu-334, An-148, the new Chinese regional jet ARJ-21, Bombardier CRJ-700, Embraer ERJ-170 and other options.
