Nov 8, 2007 (newstodate): In October Russia's Samara Kurumoch International Airport noted strong progress in passenger and cargo volumes.
The airport generated a total of 114,716 passengers, up 21 percent y-o-y, and the highest passenger traffic for the month of October in the history of the airport as an independent joint-stock company.
The total includes 31,086 passengers on international routes, an increase of 51 percent over the same period last year.
The airport also handled 83,630 passengers on domestic flights, up 12,7 percent.
In October 2007, the cargo volume handled by the airport increased by nine percent to a total of 380 tonnes.
