Nov 30, 2007 (newstodate): AiRUnion intends to invest in modernisation of the infrastructure of Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo Airport.
The airline company says it will invest six mio USD in new runway lighting and ILS systems, lifting the airport's runway to CAT II standard.
AiRUnion has been in talks with Siemens that will be contracted to implement the systems slated to become operational before the end of 2008.
If realised, the upgrading would meet one of the demands by Lufthansa in relation to a change of freighter hub away from Astana, Kazakhstan.
