Nov 1, 2007 (newstodate): Russia's ministry of transportation claims there are no problems between Germany and Russia over use of airspace.
The ministry says Lufthansa Cargo's temporary permit to fly through Russian airspace expired on October 27, and was duly renewed.
The air services agreeement between the two states is therefore fully observed by airlines from both countries, the ministry says.
Lufthansa Cargo claims, however, that Russia banned it from entering Russian airspace from October 28, and in retaliation the German authorities banned Aeroflot Cargo from operating into German airspace.
Aeroflot Cargo has been readmitted into German airspace on October 30, but Aeroflot Cargo is still forced to re-route its Asian freighter traffic to avoid using Russian airspace.
