Nov 16, 2007 (newstodate): Effective from April 20, 2008, the Latvian carrier airBaltic plans to open flights on a new route between Riga and Aalesund Vigra Airport, Norway.
This will mean a significant expansion of the airport's current international network that now comprises only flights by SAS to London Gatwick, and flights by City Star Airlines to Aberdeen, Scotland, via Stavanger, Norway.
