Nov 7, 2007 (newstodate): In October Finnair Cargo saw its volumes up by 13.1 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 9,294 tonnes.
With 5,762 tonnes and an increase by 37.9 percent, the Asian traffic again secured the volume growth that was also boosted by a 13.9 percent increase in the European volumes, to 2,142 tonnes.
All other segments were down, including North Atlantic traffic, minus 7.8 percent to 692 tonnes, and domestic cargo, down 9.6 percent to 296 tonnes, and scheduled freighter traffic, down 64.6 tonnes to 370 tonnes.
In January-October, 2007, total Finnair Cargo volumes increased 3.6 percent to 80,419 tonnes, again driven entirely by the Asian traffic that were up 20.9 percent to 47,458 tonnes.
