Nov 27, 2007 (newstodate): Baltic Cargo Center, at Riga Airport, Latvia, is seeing brisk business in 2007.
-In October we recorded 600 tonnes of cargo and mail. Close to 30 percent was transit shipments, thanks to airBaltic's network, says Olegs Korse, Baltic Cargo Center general manager.
-The share of export cargo has been growing over the last three months, reaching as high as 35-40 percent, including transit volumes.
-During January-October we handled a total of 4,600 tonnes, compared to last year's total of 4,500 tonnes. We are thus now sure to exceed 2006 volumes by some 5,000 tonnes in 2007, says mr Korshe.
