Nov 29, 2007 (newstodate): Vienna Airport has confirmed its interest in acquiring Prague Ruzyne Airport.
Prague Ruzyne Airport is to be privatised by the Czech government that expects the process to be fully completed before the end of 2008.
As a first step, the airport has been established as a fully state-owned shareholding company from this autumn, into which the airport's assets will be tranferred from the end of this year.
When this process has been completed, a tender will be opened in 2008 to seek investors interested in taking over the airport.
Prague Ruzyne Airport is the fastest growing airport in former East Europe, and in the top league of European airports as well, measured in terms of passenger volume growth.
