Nov 22, 2007 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is taking further steps in its stategy to build new routes to Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
From next summer the carrier will operate three times weekly from Riga to Yerevan, Armenia, and two times weekly from Riga to Almaty, Kazakhstan.
-airBaltic is working hard to expand its network of flights toward the East, and the new routes to Yerevan and Almaty will be just one part of our strategy of being more active in the region. These two cities will be added to our network of routes, which already offers nearly 20 destinations in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Azerbaijan, says Bertolt Flick, airBaltic President and CEO.
