Nov 30, 2007 (newstodate): For the first time in its 11 months of operations, Aeroflot Cargo has emerged in black figures.
In October the company's turnover was 712.5 mio Rubles, leaving 6.8 mio rubles in profits.
In October, the carrier handled a total of 14,797 tonnes of cargo and mail, three percent up on last year.
Cargo loads on freighters were 6,549 tonnes, up 3.3 percent, while loads on Aeroflot passenger aircraft were 8,248 tonnes, up 3.4 percent.
Commpared to last October, revenues on freighter operations rose eight percent, and revenues on passenger aircraft increased by 19 percent.
During January-October total cargo and mail volumes were 106,888 tonnes, with volumes on passenger aircraft up by nine percent, and volumes on freighters down due to the transfer processes of DC-10 freighters from Aeroflot to Aeroflot Cargo, and delayed delivery of the company's first MD-11F aircraft, now slated for mid-December, 2007.
