Oct 18, 2007 (newstodate): IATA airfreight exports from Scandinavia to North America totalled 30,065 tonnes during the first half of this year.
The Swedish market generated 52.3 percent of this total, but decreased by 16.9 percent during the period, to 15,710 tonnes.
The Danish market came second, with a total of 10,420 tonnes after increasing 13.2 percent. This constituted 34.7 percent of the Scandinavian IATA NAM totals.
Norway grew by 16.9 percent, to a total of 3,935 tonnes, corresponding to a 13 percent share of the Scandinavian total.
In Sweden the North American volumes equalled 25.9 percent of the total IATA export volumes, in Denmark the percentage was 29, and in Norway the percentage was 9.5 percent.
