Oct 30, 2007 (newstodate): Unlike SAS, Austrian Airlines sees no problems with its Dash-8 fleet of aircraft.
Austrian Airlines operates 10 aircraft of the type, and all are running fully operational.
By contrast, SAS has decided to put its entire Q-400 fleet on the ground and to divest itself of the aircraft after three serious incidents.
Only one Dash-8 is owned by the carrier, while the remaining 26 aircraft are on lease contract.
SAS has reportedly been approached by several operators interested in taking over the aircraft.
