Oct 31, 2007 (newstodate): After its first year with West Air Sweden as provider of nightly postal flights, Norway Post sees strong progress in quality.
Dissatisfied with the performance of SAS, its former provider of postal air services, Post Norway in 2006 contracted West Air Sweden to take over the nightly operations with nine aircraft operating 28 flights every night on 11 routes, moving a total of 60-70 tonnes of mail.
The route network connects Svalbard, Tromsoe, Evenes, Bodoe, Trondheim, Alesund, Molde, Bergen, Stavanger, Torp and Oslo.
In this year's Q3, West Air Sweden's punctuality reached 88.1 percent, comfortably above the target stated in the concession, 85 percent.
