Oct 24, 2007 (newstodate): The Danish IATA export cargo market grew by 13.1 percent, y-o-y, in volumes during H1, 2007.
Almost one-third, or 29 percent, of the total volumes of Danish IATA exports were destined for the the US markets, and these volumes grew by 13.2 percent during the period.
The second-largest market is China that was up by 25.6 percent, constituting 12.7 percent of the total volume.
While turnover from the North American market was up 5.6 percent, the Chinese market turnover dropped by 11 percent, indicating strong pressure on rates in a highly competitive market.
The strongest growth in IATA volumes from Denmark was, however, generated by exports to Korea that increased 59.3 percent to 1,727 tonnes, corresponding to 4.8 percent of the total volume, and turnover in this market also increased by 29.4 percent, y-o-y.
