Oct 10, 2007 (newstodate): Russia has seen the launch of a new airline - Groznyyavia, based at Grozny, Chechnya.
The carrier has received its first aircraft, a YAK-42D, and plans to start flights between Grozhny and Moscow.
Grozny Airport was badly damaged during the civil war and was only recently opened for commercial traffic. Today's commercial air traffic is about 20 flights per week.
