Oct 11, 2007 (newstodate): Boeing now concedes to rumours that it will delay the first delivery of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner by six months.
Originally slated for May, 2008, first delivery to launch customer All Nippon Airways will now be November/December, 2008.
So far Boeing has landed about 700 orders for its new aircraft, and plans to deliver 109 aircraft by the end of 2009 after the latest revision to the delivery program.
First Dreamliner flight is now anticipated around the end of first quarter 2008, which may cause a problem to the certification process that requires operations in arctic conditions.
