Oct 16, 2007 (newstodate): airBaltic Cargo expects a significant increase in its cargo volumes in 2007.
Estimates are a total of 3,200 tonnes of cargo handled in the carrier's main hub Riga, an increase by almost 10 percent, and 1,200 tonnes of cargo handled in Vilnius, the carrier's Lithuanian hub, an increase by no less than 28 percent.
-The increase is mainly driven by our expansion of capacity in Vilnius and growing transit volumes through Riga, says Toms Andersons, airBaltic Cargo head.
