Oct 29, 2007 (newstodate): Armenia's Zvartnots Airporlt is seeing its cargo volumes increasing in 2007.
During January-September, 2007, the airport handled a total of 7,259 tonnes of cargo, against 6,798 tonnes for the full year 2006.
During the period, imports rose to 4,603 tonns against 3,488 for the full year 2006, while exports were 2,656 tonnes compared to 3,310 in 2006.
The country's second-largest airport, Gyumri Shirak Airport, had only insignificant cargo loads, 6.2 tonnes of import cargo during the period, and only 17 tonnes in 2006.
