Jan 3, 2007 (newstodate): The Bulgarian state expects to sign three airport concessions in 2007.
Already by February 2007 a concession will be awarded for Targovishte Airport after a tender process that was closed in November, 2006.
The airport will be turned into private estate, and if no winner of the tender is declared the airport property will be sold.
In January a tender for privatisation of Gorna Oryahovitsa Airport will close, and a concession contract will then be signed with a winner in February alreday, and work will start on airport projects contained in a masterplan already finalised.
Deadline in a third airport privatisation tender will be reached in March, 2007, concerning Stara-Zagora Airport, with a concession contract expected to be signed with the winner by June this year.
