Jan 18, 2007 (newstodate): All data are still not complete to provide the ultimate picture of air cargo trends 2006 at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, but the airport did experience significant growth.
-The current indication is a growth by 13 percent in volumes, accruing to a total of ab. 157,000 tonnes in 2006, compared to ab. 139,000 tonnes in 2005, says Bjorn Ragnebrink, director Business Development Air Cargo, LFV Group - Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services.
According to Mr Ragnebrink and based on the same indication, imports rose by 52 percent and exports by 48 percent.
In the latter part of 2006, Stockholm Arlanda succeded in landing freighter services by Korean Air Cargo, Cathay Pacidic Airlines, and China Airlines.
