Jan 11, 2007 (newstodate): In 2007, the Russian privately-owned carrier TransAero will expand its Boeing aircraft fleet considerably.
TransAero that was first to introduce the Boeing 747 in Russia now operates six aircraft of this type plus seven Boeing 767 and plans to add a further six longhaul Boeing aircraft this year.
TransAero also operates eight Boeing 737-400 aircraft and will take a further five Boeing 737-500 in 2007, all under a lease arrangement.
In September, 2006, TransAero also placed an order for eight A330-200 aircraft, to be delivered by 2009.
