Jan 12, 2007 (newstodate): The Mongolian carrier Esniz Airways has started operations on a network serving domestic destinations Murun, Choibalsan, Bayankhongor and Dalanzadgad.
The carrier has leased two SAAB 340B aircraft from SAAB Aircraft Leasing.
Already in 2007 the fledgling airline will add two more domestic destinations, and further down the line are plans to set up routes between Mongolia and Russia.
The business plan for Esniz Airways was generated by the withdrawal, three years ago, from the Mongolian domestic market of the state-owned Mongolian Airlines, which left a void in transportation options.
