Jan 31, 2007 (newstodate): Latvian forwarding company Spedair has established a new daughter company, AG Handling at Riga Airport.
-AG Handling will focus on ground handling services, and the new company has taken over the management of Spedair's new air cargo terminal, at Riga Airport that was officially opened in October last year, says Inge Brasla, Spedair chairman & CEO.
-AG Handling thus will fully take over all activities and obligations of Spedair relating to airfreight handling, and plans are to expand services into a fully-fledged ground handling service package to be offered to any airline.
To head the new company, Spedair has appointed Gunars Peize managing director.
Mr Peize comes from a position, now vacant, as airBaltic cargo manager.
