Jan 22, 2007 (newstodate): January 29 will see the maiden flight of Russia's first lcc, SkyExpress.
The flight will operate from Moscow Vnukovo to Sochi, using one of the carrier's two Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
Initially the route will be operated with two daily flights, shortly to be expanded to six daily operations.
SkyExpress is soon to annnounce flight schedules for routes from Moscow to Rostov-On-Don and Murmansk.
By the end of 2007, SkyExpress plans to have scheduled flights to 20 Russian cities between 600 and 3000 kilometers from Moscow.
