Jan 25, 2007 (newstodate): Air India officials are reportedly in Belgrade, Serbia, to continue talks on cooperation between Air India and JAT.
Air India is said to be interested in operating from India to New York via Belgrade, and will reportedly infuse the proposed JV with a number of Boeing 737 aircraft that will expand the catchment area for this US service.
The JV would solve Serbia's problems with the FAA Cat 2 rating of its flight safety that prevents Serbia from opening routes to North America itself.
