Jan 22, 2007 (newstodate): IATA CASS Nordic is well poised to be among the first, if not the first, regional CASS to introduce CASS Import services.
-We are working hard on this and hope to be able to implement the system in the Nordic region pretty soon, says Ulla Nilson, CASS Nordic manager.
-Depending on the outcome of negoations with the parties involved in the individual markets, I would expect the import services to be rolled out first in Finland and Norway, and spreading next to Sweden and Denmark.
-With the addition of the import services to our existing export-oriented services, the paperwork, accounting, payments and statistics relating to the import shipments would be greatly eased, which would especially benefit the airlines in the their dealing with cargo handling companies and, of course, other parties involved in the process, says Ms Nilson.
