Sep 1, 2006 (newstodate): Reconstruction work on Krasnodar Airport's cargo terminal has now been completed, and the facility resumes operations with new equipment from September 15.
During the reconstruction, a new section for cargo inspection to enhance security has been added, allowing for pre-flight inspection in a sterile section.
The storage area has been quadrupled, from 128 to 400 sq m, and two cool storage sections have been added to enhance handling of perishables shipments.
The facility also allows for offices for Vet and customs.
Krasnodar Aiorport is the home base of the Russian airline Kuban Airlines that sase its cargo volumes up by 15.4 percent to 263 tonnes in July this year.
