Sep 25, 2006 (newstodate): Plans for eventual privatisation or management concession of Prague Ruzyne Airport are moving ahead.
The process started in the latter half of 2005, when the airport began preparations for converting the enterprisels property into a form that would facilitate future changes of ownership.
The options remain long-term lease or outright privatisation, but the first milestone remains the transformation of the state enterprise into a joint stock company.
The airport is also now preparing for construction of a parallel runway to cope with the increasing traffic loads and congestion.
