Sep 26, 2006 (newstodate): The air cargo volumes of Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport showed a healthy increase in August.
The airport generated a total of 6,946 tonnes of cargo and mail, up 8.2 percent year-on-year.
For the period January-August, the total volumes were 57,571 tonnes, up 7.2 percent.
In September the joint Lufthansa Cargo/Japan Airlines Cargo twice-weekly MD-11 freighter from Oslo to Nagoya Japan was suspended, and there are currently no indications of its return of operations.
The service was introduced from September 27, 2005.
