Sep 14, 2006 (newstodate): The Lufthansa Cargo/Japan Airlines Cargo freighter service from Oslo to Japan has been suspended.
The twice-weekly route between Oslo and Nagoya, operated with Lufthansa Cargo's MD-11F, first took off on September 27, 2005.
-The future of the service is now under evaluation, says a Lufthansa Cargo spokeswoman.
The service was driven by Norway's salmon exports to Japan that has been stagnating since last year due to falling world market prices on fresh salmon that now fetch a higher price for its Norwegian exporters in the near-by EU and other European markets.
