Sep 28, 2006 (newstodate): Korean Air Cargo is keeping its eyes on the Finnish market, intending to reinstate its freighter service at Helsinki when feasible.
-We operated a freighter service between Helsinki and Seoul until three years ago ago, but were forced to suspend the service due to problems with Finnair that led to loss of our traffic rights, says a source at Korean Air Cargo.
-When we can negotiate renewed traffic rights with the Finnish authorities again in two years we would be happy to return to Helsinki, he says.
In contrast to the other Nordic markets, Finland relies on trucking of Korean Air Cargo shipments into the carrier's online stations in neighbouring countries.
