Sep 28, 2006 (newstodate): Korean Air Cargo is now online at Scandinavia's three capital airports.
Offering a total of eight weekly operation in Scandinavia, including three at Copenhagen Airport, three at Oslo Gardermoen and two at Stockholm Arlanda, the carrier does not however see this as the ultimate limit.
-We have, unfortunately, a lack of freighter aircraft, pending delivery of new Boeing 747-400 freighters, so in order to add the new operations at Stockholm, we had to reduce our frequency in the Danish market, says Salman Lee, Korean Air Cargo general manager Denmark.
-Sweden is of course the single largest air cargo market in Scandinavia, but we hope to reinstate the two services at Copenhagen that were shifted to Stockholm to open our new services there.
-I am confident that we could easily operate 10 weekly freighter services between Scandinavia and Korea. Our services are operated with full loads in both directions, securing the profitability of the operations, says Mr Lee.
