Sep 29, 2006 (newstodate): Gothenburg, Sweden, is encouraged by its growth in freighter operations from this winter.
From November Lufthansa Cargo, Japan Airlines Cargo will move the Nagoya-operations from Oslo to Gothenburg, and together with SAS Cargo they are also increasing the frequency from Gothenburg to Osaka.
In total Lufthansa Cargo's MD-11F will perform five weekly operations.
Emirates SkyCargo will have seven Boeing 747 freighter operations per week, including two to New York and five to Dubai.
In addition Gothenburg is also operated by DHL and TNT for express traffic.
To further stimulate the airport's freighter operations an incentive program has been launched, granting discounted charges to operators expanding current programs with new rotations.
