Sep 1, 2006 (newstodate): Czech airline CSA has awarded a contract to Lufthansa Systems for the deployment of IT solutions from Lufthansa Systems for network planning and route planning.
With the contract, CSA has laid the foundation for future bundling all of its operational processes in a joint platform, the Integrated Operations Control Center Control Center, IOCC.
The IOCC is used to monitor and control all flight-related airline operations including punctual flight processing, aircraft deployment and maintenance planning, crew rosters, route planning, aeronautical data, crew briefing, the response to delays, and passenger services.
The agreement marks the beginning of what is expected to be a long-term partnership between the two companies, with discussions currently underway regarding the introduction of other solutions from the Lufthansa Systems portfolio to complement the IOCC.
